Gold Coins Canadian Maple Leaf Publisher's description:
from Bullion Trading LLC
Before the modern iteration of the Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin, there was the one ounce gold coin that had a lower gold purity. In many respects these coins are the same, but there are certainly some small differences. Like the modern gold Maple Leaf coin, the obverse of these coins features the Canadian Maple Leaf, the purity of the coin, and the amount of gold that is in each piece. The purity of these coins made between 1979 and 1982 is .999 fine gold as opposed to the more modern .9999 gold that is found in more contemporary Canadian Maple Leaf Coins.
The reverse side of the coin features Queen Elizabeth II in a beautiful bust, with her title above her head and the year that the coin was minted. Overall, these coins are a great way to go about securing investments in gold. While the gold is not as pure as the others, it is still worth more than enough to be worth the gold coin investment. These coins have been in circulation for a quarter of a century, meaning that they will hold value with people who collect gold coins as well. Overall, this uncommon coin can complete a collection and work as a good investment option.
